Our client is a leading European digital media and technology company headquartered in Berlin. The organization operates high-traffic digital platforms reaching millions of users and continuously invests in modern technologies, cloud infrastructure and data-driven products to shape the future of digital content and journalism.

For its On-Demand engineering team, our client is looking for an experienced Staff Fullstack Software Engineer who combines strong software engineering expertise with a broad understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps and scalable distributed systems. The team takes end-to-end ownership of its products and works in a self-organized, agile environment.

Aufgabengebiet

• Design, develop, test, deploy and operate production services throughout their entire lifecycle
• Build and evolve scalable microservices for processing and delivering on-demand audio and video content
• Develop solutions covering content ingestion, encoding, metadata enrichment and digital content delivery
• Create observable, resilient and horizontally scalable services within a distributed architecture
• Ensure high software quality through unit, integration and acceptance testing as well as BDD where appropriate
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and modern CI/CD practices
• Implement and continuously improve monitoring, logging, tracing and production observability
• Take ownership of production systems, analyze incidents and translate learnings into sustainable technical improvements

Anforderungsprofil

• Professional experience in software engineering and the delivery of production-grade applications
• Strong expertise in one or more areas such as backend engineering, cloud platforms, data, observability or distributed systems
• Hands-on experience across the full software lifecycle, from requirements and architecture to implementation, testing and operations
• Very good programming skills, ideally with technologies such as TypeScript, Go and/or Python
• Solid experience with cloud-native environments and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and public cloud platforms
• Significant experience in at least two areas such as Agile/Lean development, BDD, DevOps/GitOps, multiple programming languages or modern frontend development
• Good understanding of automated infrastructure and delivery technologies such as Terraform, Helm, FluxCD and CI/CD
• Pragmatic engineering mindset with the ability to evaluate technologies and choose appropriate solutions for complex technical challenge
