(Senior) Project Manager | Real Estate Space Conversion (m/f/d)

At Aroundtown, we are building a first-mover platform for large-scale space conversions. Our Conversion Unit combines strategic portfolio steering with hands-on execution, unlocking value through repositioning, energy transformation and innovative use cases across one of Europe’s largest real estate portfolios.

As Project Manager, you are the central orchestrator of complex conversion projects – from early-stage concept to execution and handover. You lead interdisciplinary teams and ensure that projects are structured, decision-ready and successfully delivered in terms of time, cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end responsibility for conversion projects across all phases
• Steering of interdisciplinary teams (Development, Energy/ESG, Financing, Business Planning, External Consultants)
• Driving the development of economically viable concepts and executable business plans
• Preparation of key decisions for governance bodies, ensuring clarity on risks & mitigations, returns and execution pathways
• Ownership of project timelines, budget, risk profile and quality targets
• Proactive stakeholder management across Asset Management, Development, Corporate Functions and external partners
• Acting as single point of accountability for the project
• Making day-to-day decisions autonomously while escalating and structuring major decisions appropriately

Interface & Collaboration

• Central interface to all functional expertise units (Financing, Energy/ESG, Data & Controlling, Business Planning)
• Close alignment with Asset Management and Development
• Coordination of external consultants (architects, engineers, contractors)
• Interaction with senior management and investment committees

Profile

• Strong track record in real estate development, project management or complex asset repositioning
• Ability to structure ambiguity and translate strategy into execution
• Commercial mindset with deep understanding of budgeting, value creation and
• Leadership skills in interdisciplinary and dynamic environments
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on attitude
