Autobahn

Autobahn is one of Deutsche Bank’s key strategic platform, enabling delivery of core applications >800 from both the Investment Bank and the Corporate Bank to >24,000 internal users and to >100,000 external client users. Consolidation of architectural vision and ongoing management of Autobahn framework and channels under the Autobahn Group creates significant efficiencies for Deutsche Bank and promotes cross-divisional interoperability and common branding both internally and externally.

It is a technical platform, which streamlines the delivery of apps to end users, addressing many common regulatory and compliance requirements. For end users, it provides a unified access point to multiple apps offered by Deutsche Bank. Rather than launching apps directly, users log into Autobahn and then launch apps from there. The Autobahn Platform hosts client applications, centralizes login and includes a way to search for apps and to bookmark frequently used apps. Interoperability features of home grown opensource library "Plexus Interop” allow apps on Autobahn written in different technologies (Web, .NET, Java...) to communicate between each other.

You will be part of Autobahn Platform UI team which is a responsible for building one of main and perspective channels for a platform as well as building out React component framework used by multiple downstream. You are going to work with very strong professionals on state of art UI framework and platform for other teams to build upon their web offerings: react component framework, microfrontend framework, shared navigation component, and application interoperability framework we have opensourced to github.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality based on defined specifications and guidance.

• Contribute to the full development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, and maintenance.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented components and interfaces.

• Collaborate with QA, BA, and UX teams to clarify functional and non‑functional requirements.

• Support product quality by adhering to agreed standards, coding guidelines, and non‑functional requirements.

• Work with other development teams to integrate and use shared frameworks and components.

Your skills and experiences

• Practical experience in developing web applications with a focus on performance and maintainability.

• Good understanding of core data structures and basic algorithms relevant to everyday development tasks.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and common web technologies (HTML, CSS, modern frameworks).

• Working understanding of how browsers operate and how web applications are executed in the client.

• Analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills applied to day‑to‑day development work.

• Clear and cooperative communication skills when working with team members and stakeholders.
