Join our team at smartclip as a Software Engineer, Data Platforms. You will design and build the engines that process, transform, and refine terabytes of TV and advertising data every single day. Your goal is to ensure our data platform is scalable, resilient, and cutting-edge.

Activities

• Werde Teil unseres Teams bei smartclip als Software Engineer, Data Platforms. Entwickle und baue die Systeme, die täglich Terabytes an TV- und Werbedaten verarbeiten, transformieren und verfeinern. Dein Ziel: Sorge dafür, dass unsere Datenplattform skalierbar, robust und technologisch auf dem neuesten Stand ist.
• Entwickle skalierbare Plattformen: Entwirf und implementiere technische Lösungen für Big-Data-Anwendungen in einem agilen, leistungsorientierten Umfeld.
• Optimiere Datenflüsse: Entwickle unsere Daten-Aggregations-Pipelines für TV-Daten, Werbung und Forecasting kontinuierlich weiter und optimiere sie – hauptsächlich auf Basis von Spark und Scala.
• Setze Cloud-Native-Lösungen um: Betreibe, verwalte und skaliere deine Lösungen mit Docker und Kubernetes in der AWS-Cloud.
• Setze auf Qualität: Treibe Testautomatisierung konsequent voran – von Unit Tests bis hin zu komplexen Integrationstests. Für uns ist Test Driven Development (TDD) der Weg, um zuverlässige Systeme zu bauen.
• Erkunde neue Technologien: Bewerte neue Frameworks und Tools, teile deine Erkenntnisse mit dem Team und hilf uns dabei, technologisch an der Spitze der Big-Data-Entwicklung zu bleiben.

Requirements

Du bist Software Engineer durch und durch und liebst die Herausforderung riesiger Datenmengen. Du verwandelst die Komplexität von Terabytes an Daten in eleganten und effizienten Code.

• Engineering-Erfahrung: Bring fundierte Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung mit, idealerweise mit einem starken Fokus auf JVM-Sprachen wie Scala oder Java und/oder Python.
• Big-Data-Know-how: Arbeite sicher mit Spark, Hadoop oder vergleichbaren verteilten Systemen. Erfahrung mit Trino, Flowman oder Delta Lake ist ein zusätzliches Plus.
• Infrastruktur-Know-how: Kenne dich mit CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes und AWS aus und setze diese Technologien sicher ein.
• Qualitätsanspruch: Liefere keinen Code ohne Tests aus. Setze auf Effizienz, eine saubere Architektur und pragmatische Lösungen.
• Open-Source-Fan: Schätze die Freiheit und Transparenz von Open-Source-Software. Bei uns findest du keine Closed-Source- oder Microsoft-Stacks.
• Mindset: Bring eine „Wir finden eine Lösung“-Mentalität, Hands-on-Mentalität sowie sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse mit.
