To further promote digital health protection and provide even more people with access to meaningful preventive care, we are expanding our Strategic Operations Team. We are therefore looking for a Strategic Operations (Senior) Manager (m/f/d) with a weekly working time of 40 hours (Monday to Friday).
You should ideally live in the Berlin/Brandenburg area.
Your role in the team
As Strategic Operations (Senior) Manager, you will play a key role in driving organisational efficiency and strategic execution within the Operations department. Reporting directly to the COO, you act as a bridge between business strategy, product development, and operational execution.
Your focus is on ensuring that strategic initiatives are translated into actionable plans and delivered effectively, while continuously improving processes, performance, and collaboration across teams. The role combines strategic project management, data-informed decision-making, and close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. You will also be responsible for managing an Operations Data Analyst.
Your responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes
- Monitor progress and ensure reliable execution aligned with Operations objectives
- Drive cross-functional initiatives, especially in collaboration with Product and Engineering
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver strategic and operational projects end-to-end
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Maintain transparency on progress and manage changes effectively
Data-Informed Insights & Performance Monitoring
- Manage and support an Operations Data Analyst
- Use data and reporting tools to identify trends, support decision-making, and measure performance
- Define and track metrics to evaluate product features and operational improvements
- Regularly review performance data and recommend optimisation measures
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement processes that foster innovation and continuous improvement
- Support the adoption of new technologies, including AI and automation, to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation and improved workflows
Product & Engineering Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between Operations (especially Customer Support and Claims) and Product & Engineering teams
- Support operations strategy with market research, competitive analysis, and operational feasibility assessments
Upskilling & Workforce Development
- Ensure Operations teams are equipped to work effectively with new product features
- Occasionally develop or support training initiatives on new (insurance) product features and best practices
- Occasionally facilitate workshops or alignment meetings
Stakeholder Communication
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments
- Occasionally prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations
- Support transparent stakeholder updates on progress and key changes
Requirements
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience

4+ years of experience in strategic operations, business analysis, or product management
or 2+ years of experience in consulting - Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong project management capabilities
- Comfort working with data and deriving actionable insights
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development processes is a plus
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI and automation
- Fluency in English and German
