Beschreibung: SYSTEM ERROR – MASTERING ENGINEER (CHARITY COMPILATIONS)

System Error is a Berlin- & London-based label and platform focused on underground electronic music and emerging artists.

Alongside our regular releases, we run charity compilation projects that bring together artists to support social causes through music.

We are currently looking for a Mastering Engineer to join us on these projects and contribute to meaningful releases while building real-world experience.

ROLE
We are looking for a junior or emerging Mastering Engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience and develop their craft within an active label environment.

You will primarily work on our charity compilation releases, collaborating with artists and the core team to bring projects from final mix to release-ready masters.

TASKS
- Mastering tracks for digital compilation releases
- Ensuring consistency across multi-artist projects
- Preparing files for distribution
- Communicating with artists and incorporating feedback
- Supporting quality control before release

SETUP
- Voluntary, unpaid role
- Flexible workload depending on release schedule
- Remote collaboration with a Berlin- & London-based core team
- English as main working language

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Mastering engineers in training or at the start of their careers
- Interest in contributing to charity-focused music projects
- Solid understanding of audio production, mixing and mastering
- Motivation to learn, improve and develop a personal sound
- Reliable workflow and ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in underground electronic music and club-oriented sound
