You don't just want to analyze a business – you want to steer it. As Team Lead Pricing & AI (m/f/d), you own pricing and the AI roadmap for our Books & Media Business Unit and brands. You decide how we price what we buy and what we sell – and turn better pricing, smarter systems, and data-driven decisions into sustainable growth and profit.
Your mission
Pricing & business ownership
Own and shape the pricing strategy for buying and selling across momox, medimops, and momoxbooks
Drive gross margin and operating margin – with long-term profit as your north star
Balance pricing decisions with warehouse capacity and inventory quality
Define our price positioning in the buying and selling markets
Design, run and analyze pricing experiments
Model how pricing algorithms affect marketing efficiency and long-term customer behavior
Spot risks and opportunities early and steer them together with BU management – before others have to point them out
Act as sparring partner for BU management on profit-oriented steering
Product ownership – Pricing & AI Engineering
Take on the Product Owner role for our Pricing Engineering and AI Engineering teams
Build the roadmaps with Business, Data Science and Engineering – and prioritize by business impact
Drive topics such as an AI-supported dynamic pricing engine, buying and selling price logic, experimentation frameworks, pricing reporting, and price steering by brand, category and attribute
Identify the AI use cases with the highest value potential – e.g. sellability prediction, buy/no-buy decisions and market price definition
Make sure AI projects deliver measurable results in revenue, profitability, efficiency or customer experience – not research for its own sake
Translate between business and tech: you understand both the commercial impact and the technical feasibility
Leadership & collaboration
Lead your Pricing team functionally and disciplinarily: goals, priorities, coaching, feedback, development and hiring
Build a team culture of ownership, analytical thinking and high execution quality
Work closely with Product, Engineering, AI/Data Science, Marketing, Logistics IT, Finance & Controlling and our Senior Management Team
Bring different interests together and make decisions that serve momox as a whole
Your profile
Several years of experience in pricing, revenue management, analytics or e-commerce
Very strong analytical skills – you're confident with data and KPI systems
Hands-on experience with experiments and A/B testing
You build and evaluate business cases and know what drives margin
Experience working closely with engineering and data teams – ideally as Product Owner or in a similar role
A solid understanding of machine learning and AI applications: you know what models can do – and where their limits are
Leadership skills: first experience leading people, or a proven track record of guiding teams, projects or cross-functional initiatives
Strong ownership and entrepreneurial thinking – you take initiative instead of waiting for direction
You make decisions quickly, also under uncertainty, and prioritize with a clear focus on impact
Structured, results-oriented, and resilient
Clear and direct communication
Fluent English (min. C1); German is a plus

Flexible working hours
We follow a hybrid work model with 20 in-office days per quarter to foster important personal interaction while enabling a modern, flexible way of working. The remaining days can be worked from home, and you also have the option to spend up to 6 weeks per year working from countries within EU. You’ll also benefit from flexible working hours to fit your individual needs.
