About the Team

The Communication & Personalization Team (CAP Team) is responsible for creating seamless and engaging user touchpoints via push notifications, email newsletters, shopping lists, and favorite shelf features. We are a diverse and collaborative team composed of backend, iOS, and Android engineers, striving to become a fully cross-functional team that can deliver user value with high autonomy and minimal dependencies.

We work together with other cross functional teams to deliver seamless experience in our apps.

Your responsibilities:

Team Delivery & Productivity:

• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product features and technical initiatives

• Champion continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and operational excellence

• Actively partner with the Product Manager to prioritize and drive impactful initiatives

People Leadership & Growth:

• Lead and mentor engineers, supporting their technical and personal development

• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance

• Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching

Technical Leadership & Quality:

• Drive and enable coding, testing, and documentation standards within the team

• Ability to drive architectural decisions that impact multiple teams and core systems

• Coordinating incidents and QA issues, ensuring platform reliability and performance

• Tracking and reducing technical debt and resolving platform pain points

Your profile:

Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as software engineer in a team environment

• Proven leadership experience either in a formal role or by leading technical initiatives

• Solid understanding of backend and mobile technologies

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and empathetic leadership style

• Ability to make thoughtful decisions and balance trade-offs in a fast-paced environment
