Summary
Our platform supports complex processes around manufacturing, procurement, and pricing logic, and has grown organically over the years. Today, it combines traditional backend services, serverless components, and a wide range of external integrations. As complexity increases, we face typical challenges: unclear system boundaries, growing dependencies, and rising coordination overhead. We are looking for a Tech Lead who tackles exactly this. You bring structure to the architecture, reduce complexity, and make clear technical decisions that keep the system sustainable in the long run.
Your responsibilities with us
- Evolve the system architecture (boundaries, APIs, data flows)
- Make and communicate architectural decisions under real-world constraints and trade-offs
- Identify and gradually reduce technical risks in existing systems
- Provide technical leadership to a small engineering team (currently ~6 engineers) through mentoring and clear guidelines
- Work closely with product and management to build solutions that are both technically and functionally sound
- Shape the technical foundation of new product areas and external interfaces (e.g. APIs, integrations)
- Drive the use of AI in our product and system landscape
- Actively use and improve AI-supported tools in the development workflow to increase team productivity and quality

Contribute hands-on to critical parts of the system where needed
Your professional skills
- Several years of experience as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead in production systems
- Strong fullstack understanding (e.g. React and modern backend architectures)
- Experience with cloud architectures and distributed systems
- Experience working with and evolving existing, mature systems
- Ability to make and clearly communicate technical decisions
- Experience in supporting and developing other engineers
- Good English skills

- Ability to make pragmatic and viable technical decisions even with incomplete information.
- Clear and structured communication of technical trade-offs to product, management, and engineering.
- Enjoyment in leading and developing other developers technically.

- Focus on stability, sustainability, and long-term system quality.
