Deine Aufgaben:
- Beratung und Begleitung von Migrationen von Microsoft SQL Server zu PostgreSQL
- Definition und Review von Zielarchitekturen für PostgreSQL-Umgebungen
- Analyse bestehender Datenbanklandschaften, Datenmodelle und Workloads
- Planung und Umsetzung von Migrationen inkl. Strategien, Tests und Cutover-Konzepten
- Performance-Optimierung (Query Tuning, Indexing, Ressourcenmanagement)
- Durchführung von Sizing-, Capacity- und Skalierungsanalysen
- Konzeption von Hochverfügbarkeit, Backup-, Recovery- und Disaster-Recovery-Strategien
- Migration und Anpassung von Datenbankobjekten (z. B. Stored Procedures, Views, Trigger)
- Identifikation SQL-Server-spezifischer Abhängigkeiten und Überführung in PostgreSQL
- Unterstützung bei Testkonzepten sowie Durchführung von Migrationstests
- Erstellung von Dokumentationen und Best Practices sowie Know-how-Transfer
Dein Profil:
- Mind. 8–10 Jahre Erfahrung als Datenbank Engineer, Architect oder DBA
- FH-Abschluss oder vergleichbare Ausbildung
- Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung mit PostgreSQL im Enterprise-Umfeld
- Fundierte Projekterfahrung in Migrationen von MS SQL Server zu PostgreSQL
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in PostgreSQL Architektur und Internals, Performance Tuning, Query Optimierung und Indexing, Partitionierung, High Availability und Replication, Backup-, Recovery- sowie Capacity- und Sizing-Konzepten
- Sehr gute SQL-Kenntnisse und Erfahrung mit Migrations-Tools
- Strukturierte, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise sowie starke Kommunikations- und Beratungsfähigkeiten
- Erfahrung im Umgang mit komplexen Stakeholder-Landschaften
- Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- sowie Englischkenntnisse
