Your responsibilities:
- Conformity officer for the consumer electronics division
- Technical responsibility for compliance with legal approval requirements
- Single point of contact for handling international approvals
- Preparation of approval documentation and declarations of conformity
- Responsibility for the Gigaset Environment and Telecommunications Laboratories
- Commissioning external laboratories and evaluating test reports
- Preparation and implementation of external ETL and RED product audits
- Handling/cooperation in the event of complaints from market surveillance authorities
- Management of ETSI, DECT Forum and WiFi Alliance memberships
What you bring to the table:
- Completed technical training or university degree in engineering
- Experience in the field of type approvals, product approvals or regulatory affairs
- High level of technical understanding and willingness to continuously learn about new technologies, tools and technical standards
- Experience in quality management and PLM processes
- Very good analytical skills and strong organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience with other standards and specifications such as RED, EMC, RoHS, REACH, ATEX or the Battery Directive is desirable
