Head of People & Culture (m/f/d)
Location: Bochum, Germany. Minimum 4 days per week on site.
Salary: 60.000€ to 80.000€ per annum basic salary.
ESOP : generous ESOP scheme in place with high earning potential.
Contract: Permanent, full-time.

iO Associates are excited to be partnered with an innovative company in the semiconductor industry, who are developing solutions for improved semiconductor manufacturing and processing.

We are seeking a Head of People & Culture (m/f/d) to take the lead on building a collaborative workplace centred on innovation, collaboration, and growth. You'll have the freedom and responsibility to shape the people strategy from the ground up including building the HR team from scratch.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and implement an innovative People & Culture strategy.
• Champion initiatives that drive engagement, strengthen retention, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Manage every stage of the employee experience - from hiring and onboarding to development and exit.
• Introduce programmes that foster skills growth, career development, and internal mobility.
• Build strong relationships with all employees from entry level to the Founding team, ensuring our people approach is aligned with business goals.
• Ensure HR practices are compliant with laws and internal guidelines.

What we're looking for:

• A people-focused leader who thrives on building inclusive, high-energy workplaces.
• At least 5 years of professional HR experience. Experience in a fast-moving start-up or scale-up environment is desirable however not essential and strong junior candidates are welcome.
• A solid track record in recruitment, retention, learning & development, and employee engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with ease.
• Fluency in both German and English.
