About the position
As a flexician in the European ESG segment, you will play a central role in the sustainable transformation of our European business. You dive deep into core ESG processes and actively support us in advancing our sustainability goals.
Your tasks
As a flexicant (m/f/d), you will complete your voluntary internship and benefit from attractive pay and flexible working hours.
You will support the ESG financial controlling team in the Europe segment of Deutsche Telekom AG with the following responsible tasks:
- Scope 3 Data Analysis & Optimization: Independent analysis of Scope 3 emission data and identification of content and process-related optimization potential
- International cooperation: Close interface work and coordination with colleagues in our international EU subsidiaries
- Reporting & KPIs: Preparation, consolidation and preparation of meaningful KPI reports to measure the progress of our ESG goals
- Presentations & documentation: Independent preparation of well-founded presentations, detailed evaluations and structured project documentation for various stakeholders
Your profile
You are studying economics, ideally with a focus on corporate responsibility, or are in a gap year.
You also have the following knowledge and skills:
- Basic ESG understanding: Initial knowledge or points of contact in the areas of corporate responsibility and environmental, social & governance (ESG)
- Data analysis & Scope 3: Strong interest and initial practical experience in the systematic analysis of ESG and Scope 3 emissions data
- Advanced MS Excel skills: Safe use of spreadsheets to create KPI reports and quantitative evaluations
- Analytical thinking: Distinctive ability to quickly grasp complex relationships and draw well-founded conclusions
- Initiative & self-employment: Structured, proactive and reliable way of working on tasks and project documentation
- Presentation skills & communication: Experienced use of MS PowerPoint as well as very good German and English skills for exchange with international national companies
You also bring that with you (nice-to-have)
- Ideally, a degree with a focus on corporate responsibility, sustainability management, ESG or environmental science
- First practical experience (e.g. through internships or working student activities) in the area of corporate responsibility or ESG reporting
- Prior knowledge of greenhouse gas balances (in particular GHG Protocol Scope 3)
- Familiarity with international work contexts and multicultural teams
- Experience using business intelligence tools (such as Power BI) or advanced data modeling in Excel
