For talents with an entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to shape the future, the 18-month "Start up!" Trainee Program offers space to learn and develop. We offer you a broad spectrum of insights into our organization, as well as the opportunity to leave your comfort zone and explore new topics in order to reach your full potential.

Hit the ground running and steer your own career! You will complete 5 project assignments: the first within Product & Technology. Afterwards, you can select your subsequent projects individually across the entire group.

Step out of your comfort zone! After your first assignment, you decide which topics you want to dive deeper into. During the program, we want you to leave your comfort zone and explore new fields within Deutsche Telekom. We will support you with an extensive network.

Expand your network and experience the trainee community! Fridays are reserved for "Magenta Friday." All trainees come together to work on strategic, innovative growth topics outside of their project assignments. Trainees work in different teams to organize events, promote their further development, or contribute to social initiatives.

Go international! A leading digital telecommunications company without international experience? Never! One of your 3-month assignments will be abroad. You decide which country and city yourself.

Understand our business! Take the opportunity to get to know Deutsche Telekom's operational business. During our "Service Days," you can gain direct insights into how Deutsche Telekom works with customers. Chooseyour "Service Days," such as a day in customer service, a visit to a T-Shop, or a stop at one of our service centers. You will gain direct insight into how we turn customers into fans every day.

Choose your start date! You have the opportunity to start the program every quarter. Simply discuss with your contact person which date suits you best.

You hold a degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, software engineering or a similar field and have profound knowledge of information and communication technologies and/or programming. Graduates of all academic levels (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate/PhD) are welcome to apply.

Skills: You are curious, courageous and question the status quo, bring an innovative spirit to the table and actively contribute ideas and enjoy being part of a collaborative trainee community.

Basic Knowledge: You have a solid foundation in information technology and a strong interest in one or more of the following forward-looking technology areas:

Network Technologies & Architecture (e.g. 5G, ORAN, etc.)

Software Engineering (e.g. DevOps, Full-Stack Development, Cloud Computing, etc.)

Artificial Intelligence (e.g. Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc.)

Big Data / Data Analytics

Cyber Security

Focus on Employees: You are a passionate team player and enthusiastic about creating the best experiences for our employees by contributing to modern digital technologies topics and much more.

Relevant Experience: You have gained at least 6 months of initial relevant internship or work experience in the field of modern digital technologies. Ideally, you have up to about 1 year of total relevant professional experience and want to targetedly advance your career within a trainee program.

Understanding of Corporate Strategies: You understand how modern digital technologies, digitalization and Data & AI contribute to achieving corporate goals and are motivated to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions with measurable impact.

Intercultural Competence: Our Start up! community thrives on its internationality. Therefore, strong intercultural skills should be in your DNA.

International Experience: Experience abroad — whether through studying abroad, work & travel, etc. — is a must (at least 3 months).

Commitment and Entrepreneurial Spirit: As a Start up! trainee, you are passionate about driving change! Experience in social engagement and/or entrepreneurial projects is therefore very welcome.

Language Skills: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, at C1 level and German at B2 level. Furthermore, you are motivated to improve your German skills during the program.
