Team Lead BI & Analytics – Braunschweig

One of Europe’s largest fashion retailers - 1,200 stores, >€4 billion revenue, 20,000 employees and growing fast across Europe and Asia. They are on a mission to become a truly data-driven fashion group. To get there, they are now looking for a Team Lead for their BI & Analytics team who will act as the face and voice of data within the company.

The role

• Leadership of a team of 12 Business Intelligence professionals
• Shape the future data platform together with the backend team ( migration towards modern data lakehouse architecture - likely Snowflake or Databricks)
• Push self-service BI initiative and ensure high adoption across the group
• Drive "internal marketing” and communication campaign : translate complex analytics topics into simple, convincing messages for C-level and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain a group-wide KPI catalogue and semantic layer (the single source of truth for all key figures)
• Represent the entire data & analytics department towards top management and all business units

Your background

• Degree in business administration, (business) informatics, econometrics, industrial engineering, natural sciences or similar
• 7 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics , ideally from consulting or a leading retail/company environment
• Leadership experience as team lead, project lead, product owner, etc.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills - you can explain complex issues simply and convincingly to non-technical executives
• Solid experience with the Microsoft BI stack - especially Power BI
• Ideally experience in data governance, self-service BI or advanced analytics
• Retail or fashion background is a strong plus, but not a must
• Fluent German (C1 minimum, ideally native) and very good English

• Salary up to €110,000
