uidance, Navigation & Control Engineer
(m/f/d).
Your mission
- Design and analysis of GNC subsystems for air-breathing UAVs, hypersonic gliders, and orbital spaceplanes
- Trajectory simulation, optimization, and mission analysis for complex flight profiles
- Development of nonlinear 6DOF flight dynamic models
- Creation of mathematical models for physical subsystems (aerodynamics, sensors, actuators, propulsion)
- Flight control algorithm design, coding, and software-/hardware-in-the-loop testing and implementation on flight control hardware
- Support in the selection, integration, and verification of GNC sensors and components
- Development of advanced guidance algorithms for highly automatic UAVs
- Participation in ground and flight test campaigns, including test planning, execution, and data analysis
Your profile
- Successfully completed aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (M.Sc./M.Eng.)
- Several years of professional or research experience in flight dynamics, GNC, or related fields.
- Strong background in flight control theory, trajectory optimization, dynamic system modeling and guidance methods
- Strong programming skills (MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python) and modeling/simulation experience
- Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex research and engineering problems
- Excellent analytical skills and a creative, solution-oriented mindset
- Proactive, motivated, flexible, and resilient, with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment where innovation and ownership drive impact
