To strengthen our Global Quality - Digital Quality Industrialization department, we are looking for a talented profile to fill the position of: Quality Business Continuity Lead & Process Data Owner – Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

As Quality Continuity Management Lead, you will help ensure that UCB's Quality organization can continue operating effectively during disruptions, while also overseeing key digital Quality systems that support our business.You will lead Business Continuity activities across Global Quality, helping teams identify risks, prepare recovery plans, and strengthen operational resilience. In parallel, you will act as the Process and Data Owner for selected digital Quality solutions, ensuring these systems remain compliant, reliable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.This role offers a unique opportunity to combine Quality, Digital Innovation, Risk Management, and Business Continuity in a highly regulated environment.

You will be closely working with Quality, Digital Technology, and business stakeholders. This position supports operational resilience, inspection readiness, and Digital Quality Transformation through effective continuity management and digital system stewardship.

What you will do

Business Continuity Management

• Act as the primary Business Continuity Management representative for Global Quality, ensuring alignment with Enterprise BCM governance, standards, methodologies, tools and resilience requirements.
• Support teams in identifying critical processes and developing recovery plans to minimize disruption.
• Coordinate continuity exercises, simulations, and testing activities to ensure recovery plans remain effective.
• Drive the prioritization, follow-up, and closure of identified BCM gaps, mitigation actions, and risk remediation plans through Quality governance processes.
• Act as the main point of contact during business disruptions, ensuring effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.
• Ensure BCM compliance, audit/inspection readiness, and maintenance of BCM documentation, records, and reporting metrics.
• Partner with Quality, Digital Technology, Risk Management, and business teams to continuously improve organizational resilience

Process Data Owner (PDO) / Functional System Owner (FSO)

• Act as Process Data Owner (PDO) and/or Functional System Owner (FSO) for assigned Quality digital solutions
• Collaborate with Corporate Process Owners, Digital Technology System Owners, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure digital solutions effectively support Quality processes and business objectives.
• Oversee the lifecycle of digital solutions, including implementation, validation, enhancements, user adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure systems remain compliant with Quality, regulatory, and data integrity requirements.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and business requirements, while supporting audits, inspections, investigations, and change management activities.
• Drive innovation through data, digital technologies, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, compliance, and business value.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, engineering, quality, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Business Continuity, Digital Systems, Risk Management, or a related field within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Experience working with regulated computerized systems and/or digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, or recovery planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Business Continuity Management frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301).
• Experience with computerized system validation and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Veeva Vault or other Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Interest in emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
