Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

We are looking for you in full-time or part-time with at least 25 hours per week to strengthen our HR team at our locations in Hamburg, Husum, Cuxhaven, or Bremen.

• As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will primarily handle the monthly payroll processing, considering legal and company regulations
• Additionally, you will support our HR administration in creating and managing employment contracts, contract amendments, references, and other personnel-related documents, as well as evaluations, reports, and statistics
• With your extensive expertise, you will act as a contact person, advising employees and managers comprehensively on various HR topics, particularly on payroll tax, social security, and payroll-related questions
• You will prepare HR-related documents as part of reporting and certification processes and liaise with authorities, health insurance companies, and social security institutions
• You will oversee and accompany internal and external audits related to pension insurance, payroll tax, and employer’s liability insurance
• Furthermore, you will maintain and manage personnel master data, time management systems, and digital personnel files in our HR software rexx, and prepare data for the annual financial statements
• You will drive the development of our HR department and actively participate in payroll-related projects, such as digitalization or optimizing payroll processes

• You have completed commercial training, ideally with further education in the field of HR or payroll accounting
• You have extensive, multi-year experience in payroll and HR administration, as well as in-depth knowledge of payroll tax, social security, and labor law
• Additionally, you have experience with audits and reporting systems
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., DATEV, ADP, etc.) and MS Office completes your profile
• You possess fluent German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
