First Line Sales Leader, Specialty Care (m/f/d)
As national First Line Sales Leader, you will lead a team of key account managers to drive the national sales strategy for GSKs existing specialty care portfolio as well as launches of new specialty assets to drive sales growth and establish GSK as a key partner for HCPs across Switzerland.
Furthermore, you will develop and implement a clear vision for the sales team, aligning strategies with overall business objectives, and provide strategic directions to navigate market challenges, capitalize on opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
The First Line Sales Leader will also foster a collaborative and agile work environment through inspirational leadership and ensure continuous development of the sales team’s skills & knowledge by utilizing targeted coaching and training opportunities to enable sustained success in an evolving business landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy, maximizing the success of the Specialty Care brands in alignment with overall business objectives and KPIs. Effective budget management to maximize return on investment.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing sales team by providing ongoing coaching, mentorship and performance management to drive a culture of collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement
- Leverage data & analytics to support the implementation of omnichannel strategies, identify actionable insights and optimize resource allocation
- Champion and embed a culture of innovation and adaptability within the sales team by promoting new ways of working in alignment with industry best practices, emerging technologies and evolving customer expectations.
- Communicate and establish a clear long-term vision for the sales team and effectively lead the team through organizational changes by promoting a positive and adaptive culture that embraces change as an opportunity for growth.
- Enable and implement a cross-functional Strategic Account Management framework by coaching and empowering the regional teams to uncover and act on viable business opportunities in important accounts.
- Uphold the highest standards of compliance and ethics by acting as a role model for GSK Values and Behaviors and ensuring that all sales activities comply with Swiss regulations, industry standards and GSK policies.
Qualifications & skills:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Sales, or Natural Science
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a pharmaceutical company and an ability to build strong customer relationships
- Experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools to track and improve sales performance.
- Experience in navigating regulatory requirements and compliance within the pharmaceutical sales process, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company policies.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with other departments such as marketing, market access, and medical affairs to drive business objectives.
- Agile enterprise mindset with a focus on innovative thinking and adaptability, ensuring the sales strategy aligns with dynamic market conditions and organizational goals
- Language: Fluency in both written and spoken German (at least C1-level) as well as English are mandatory, French is a plus
Preferred qualifications & skills:
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Specialty Care, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience from the respiratory therapeutical area
- Launch experience
