It is the sponsor of ’Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors in Dortmund’ (IfADo). IfADo explores the risks and potentials of modern work in interdisciplinary approaches. We combine the disciplines of Ergonomics, Immunology, Toxicology, Psychology and Neurosciences.

The Project Group Neuroimmunology (group leader Prof. Dr. Silvia Capellino) offers a full-time position available from Mai 2026 as

Postdoctoral Fellow (f/m/d) in Neuro-endocrine-immunology (100 %)

initially for a duration of 36 months with the possibility of extension after positive evaluation.

The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a research group investigating the influence of neurotransmitters on immune cells and other non-neuronal cells, such as bone cells. Experimental work will be done to better understand how sex hormones and neurotransmitters modulate activation and intracellular pathways of human immune cells and other non-neuronal cells. The position will provide excellent training and opportunities in many aspects of Neuro-endocrine-immunology. Your Qualifications:

• PhD degree with a strong background in immunology, cell biology and signal transduction
• Being highly motivated, collaborative and responsible
• Ability to work independently, establish new techniques and present data (scientific writing and oral communication)
• Fluency in both oral and written English
• At least basic German language knowledge
• Experience with flow cytometry and molecular biology techniques will be favorable
