Help build the future of Enterprise Data at CWS Hygiene

At CWS Hygiene, data is becoming one of our most strategic assets. We are setting up Enterprise Data Governance from scratch. We start with customer master data, because it feeds our CRM, ERP and reporting across multiple European countries. Material, supplier and service data come next.

Your Mission

Master Data is a critical enabler of our future ERP, CRM, reporting, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. As MDM Domain Lead, across Europe, you will help establish enterprise-wide data governance, quality standards, ownership structures, stewardship model, and operating principles that enable trusted data across multiple countries, business functions, and systems. You will work closely with business leaders, country organizations, IT, BI, integration teams, architects, and executive stakeholders to ensure data becomes a strategic business capability.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on execution with strategic leadership. While you lead the MDM Manager and MDM Engineer we are hiring in parallel you will drive tangible improvements from day one. This role reports to the CIO or Head of Data & Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the customer data domain; set definitions, ownership, quality rules, KPIs and remediation.
• Set up the governance model; data owners in the business, stewards in the countries, and decision rules people actually follow.
• Stakeholder alignment; work with the teams behind Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, BI and integration, so data quality is built into the processes instead of being fixed afterwards.
• Help select our MDM platform;
• Lead the MDM team; lead the MDM Manager and MDM Engineer we are hiring in parallel.

We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and driving strategic change. You are passionate about data and genuinely motivated by creating order, clarity, and business value in complex environments. You have the credibility to challenge senior stakeholders, the pragmatism to get things done, and the resilience to drive change where ownership and governance are still evolving.

What you bring:

• 5+ years in MDM, data governance or data quality, at least part of it in an international company.
• Demonstrated success in building a governance setup yourself, and currently running an existing one.
• Solid understanding of customer data in CRM and ERP, ideally Dynamics 365 and/or Salesforce.
• Hands-on experience with at least one MDM or data quality platform.
• Working knowledge of GDPR as it applies to customer data.· Fluent English. German is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills; you can tell a country MD that their data is wrong and still get them to fix it.
• A pragmatic, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with the ambition and leadership potential to help build and grow a future data governance function.
