. This is a pivotal role where you will transform design data into high-tech, unmanned flight technology, ensuring our production growth is aligned with our ambitious quality and output targets.
Tasks
In this role, you aren’t just managing the production floor—you are architecting the entire production process. Your key functions will include:
- Departmental Leadership: Establishing and leading the Production Department to meet agreed-upon quality and production milestones.
- Manufacturing: Overseeing the manufacturing and assembly of prototype and production Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), including ground support equipment and Remote Pilot Station (RPS) parts.
- Operational Excellence: Developing production and procurement processes that fit seamlessly into the broader Dufour Aerospace process landscape.
- Resource & Interface Management: Forging efficient collaboration with the Engineering, Flight Operations, and Quality departments.
- Infrastructure & Planning: Managing the production plan, annual budgets, rolling financial forecasts, and the adoption of critical IT tools like PLM and ERP systems.
- Supply Chain & Quality: Owning supplier management, procurement, logistics, storekeeping, and production quality assurance.
Requirements
We are looking for a structured, pragmatic leader who thrives in highly regulated environments and possesses the following:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or an equivalent mix of professional qualifications and experience.
- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience in a production environment, specifically handling complex, small-series technical products.
- Aerospace Expertise: Excellent knowledge of aerospace quality management standards; direct experience in an EN9100 environment is highly desired.
- Demonstrated Pragmatism and Flexibility: An ability to adapt past experience and skills to the specific needs of the very dynamic environment of unmanned aviation is critical to succeeding in this role.
- Technical Savvy: A deep understanding of production configuration management, production engineering, product conformity, and expert-level production planning skills.
- Communication Mastery: Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to solve problems pragmatically.
- Languages: Fluency in English and German is required; the ability to speak Swiss-German is a plus.
