• Develop and maintain backend systems using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar)

• Build AI-driven features including embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases

• Design RESTful APIs and integrate external services

• Manage automation pipelines using Jenkins

• Work with relational databases, including SQL schema design and optimization

• Ensure backend performance, scalability, and reliability

• Collaborate with AI engineers, frontend developers, and product stakeholders in Düsseldorf

• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and architecture discussions

• Contribute ideas for tech stack improvements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering

• Python backend development experience is a plus, but not required

• Knowledge of AI concepts, including embeddings, vector search, and semantic matching

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs

• Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins) and SQL databases

• Docker experience is a plus

• Version control with Git

• Fluent in English; German is a plus

• Passion for building intelligent backend systems and collaborative teamwork
