• Implement and maintain Python-based backend systems

• Develop AI-driven features: embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases

• Build and manage REST APIs and integrate external services

• Maintain Jenkins pipelines for backend automation

• Optimize relational databases and SQL queries

• Ensure backend scalability, performance, and reliability

• Work closely with AI, frontend, and product teams in Düsseldorf

• Take part in agile processes: stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews

• Keep the tech stack up-to-date and contribute improvement ideas

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Software Engineering

• Prior Python backend development experience is a bonus

• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts

• Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD (Jenkins), SQL

• Docker skills are a plus

• Version control (Git)

• Fluent English; German is optional
