The Change Management and Engagement Manager will play a critical role in the successful implementation of a significant logistics transformation program and to implement strategies to drive the engagement of the Logistics team. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing change management and engagement strategies and plans to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational structures within the logistics function. The Change Manager will work closely with project teams, stakeholders across various levels, and external partners to ensure a smooth and effective transition.

Your responsibilities

  • Change Management Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans aligned with the overall logistics transformation objectives and project timelines.
    • Conduct thorough change impact assessments to identify key stakeholder groups, potential resistance points, and the magnitude of change.
    • Define clear change management objectives and measurable success metrics.
    • Integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    • Identify and analyze key stakeholders, understanding their perspectives and potential concerns related to the transformation.
    • Develop and execute tailored communication plans to inform, engage, and involve stakeholders throughout the transformation journey.
    • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions to build understanding and buy-in.
    • Create and deliver clear, consistent, and timely communication materials through various channels.
  • Resistance Management:
    • Identify potential sources of resistance and develop proactive strategies to mitigate and address them.
    • Work with stakeholders to understand their concerns and find solutions.
    • Coach and support project teams and leaders in managing resistance effectively.
  • Training and Development:
    • Assess training needs arising from the logistics transformation.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and training teams to develop and deliver effective training programs and materials.
    • Ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to adapt to the new processes and technologies.
  • Organizational Alignment and Culture:
    • Support the alignment of organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities with the new logistics processes.
    • Work to foster a culture of change readiness and continuous improvement within the logistics function.
    • Identify and address potential cultural impacts of the transformation.
  • Change Measurement and Evaluation:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of change management activities.
    • Monitor and evaluate the adoption of new processes and technologies.
    • Gather feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve change management approaches.
    • Report on the progress and impact of change management efforts to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Partnership:
    • Work closely with the C&A Change Management partners, project managers, business analysts, IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the transformation.
    • Partner with HR to address any people-related aspects of the change, such as role changes or organizational design.
    • Collaborate with external consultants or partners involved in the logistics transformation.
  • Coaching and Support:
    • Provide coaching and support to leaders and managers to enable them to effectively lead their teams through the change.
    • Act as a change champion and advocate for the benefits of the transformation.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in change management roles, with a strong focus on large-scale transformation projects, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying change management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Process).
  • Excellent understanding of logistics processes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Fluency in English and German is highly desirable.
