Polaris Group is a fast-growing European logistics and shipping platform with operations across Germany, Slovenia, Romania, and beyond. With over 600,000 vehicles transported annually, we are now expanding into container forwarding starting from our strategic hub in Koper & Duisburg.

We are not looking for an employee. We are looking for someone to build and lead our container forwarding business.

Your Mission

You will take full ownership of launching and scaling Polaris’ container forwarding activities out of Koper, with a strong focus on automotive and high-value cargo flows across the Mediterranean, North Africa, and Middle East.

This is a founding role with direct exposure to top management and full commercial responsibility.

What You Will Do

• Build and manage carrier relationships (MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, etc.)
• Develop and execute forwarding strategy from Koper
• Acquire and grow a portfolio of key clients (OEMs, suppliers, traders)
• Price, negotiate, and close deals with full ownership of margins
• Set up operational processes and workflows
• Coordinate closely with Polaris’ trucking and RoRo divisions
• Scale the business into a structured team over time

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years experience in container freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean / North Africa / Middle East trades
• Existing relationships with shipping lines and/or clients
• Commercial mindset — you understand margins, not just operations
• Entrepreneurial attitude — you want to build, not just manage
• Fluent in English (German and/or Slovenian is a plus)

What Success Looks Like

• First shipments within 60–90 days
• Strong carrier agreements in place
• Initial client portfolio established
• Clear revenue growth trajectory within first 6 months
