Your core task

Perform spectroscopic and chemical analyses as a central service for breeding, production, and product management at KWS.

Your main responsibilities

• Ensure routine operations for determining constituents in plant material using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
• Contribute to analytical trait determination within various research programs using a broad range of methods (e.g., Raman, NMR, chromatography).
• Support the development, validation, and maintenance of chemometric models, as well as monitor and adjust corresponding calibrations in the laboratory.
• Conduct quality-related examinations such as incoming goods inspections and wastewater analyses .

Your Profile

• Completed agricultural-technical training or a scientific degree (B.Sc.).
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of chemical-analytical methods for analyzing plant material in an agricultural context.
• Experience with spectroscopic techniques (NIRS, Raman) as well as basic knowledge of chemometrics.
• Confident use of M365 products and laboratory information systems (e.g., LIMS).
• Reliable, flexible, and independent working style, along with strong communication skills and team orientation.
• Fluent English is required; good German skills are an advantage.
