Join a dynamic team of experienced Legal Counsels (f/m/d) who are shaping the future of the energy landscape! As a Legal Counsel (f/m/d), you will actively support the diverse activities associated with the project and product business of the Execution Unit “Controls, Digitalization and Nuclear.” In a world transitioning to meet increasing energy demands from both conventional and renewable sources, you will tackle a wide range of complex legal matters in this exciting environment. Your primary focus will be on supporting sales and procurement contracts, templates, and related legal and regulatory topics during the acquisition and implementation phases for our conventional and nuclear control systems, particularly concerning software-related contracts. Additionally, you will provide valuable advice to the Business Area “Gas Services” on IP licensing, funded R&D, and other IP-related contracts.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Management of legal matters for SE C CD&NUC, SE GS C GBF, and SE GS PRM, focusing on software and IP-related contracts.
- Redlining and negotiation of contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Development of templates for software delivery and functionalities.
- Handling of claims with customers and suppliers effectively.
- Proactive addressing of business challenges while balancing governance and business needs.
- Collaboration within the global Legal Counsel community to drive efficiencies.
- Fully qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction.
- Several years of professional experience in the legal department of an internationally operating company or a law firm, with thorough knowledge of contract law, preferably in software sales and procurement, and international contract practice.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities, seamlessly transitioning between various legal topics throughout the day.
- Deep business understanding and passion for enabling business transactions and driving change.
- Excellent communication skills, coupled with intercultural sensitivity and competence.
- Fluency in German and English (strong verbal and writing skills).
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
