Anders Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a large international professional services group, with a network spanning more than 60 countries across tax advisory, audit, accounting and legal services.

With over 50 years of history and a strong focus on entrepreneurial and mid-sized businesses, the group combines international scale with established local firms. Acquisitions play a key role in its continued international expansion.

Based in Essen, you will coordinate international transactions and work closely with country managing partners, the investment team, finance and international management.

• Contribute to growth from within: Apply your transaction experience to the group’s ongoing acquisition strategy.
• Work internationally: Coordinate acquisitions across countries and collaborate with entrepreneurial local leaders.
• Gain direct senior management exposure: Prepare deal reviews and support decisions that move transactions forward.
• Take ownership: Coordinate the process from qualified opportunity screening through due diligence, approvals, signing and closing.
• Shape how the group executes deals: Improve and standardise M&A processes across its international operations.

• Screen acquisition opportunities for strategic fit and alignment with investment criteria, highlighting issues that require management decisions.
• Coordinate transaction timelines, stakeholders and deliverables throughout the buy-side M&A process.
• Maintain a clear view of the international deal pipeline, including milestones, responsibilities and outstanding actions.
• Prepare and facilitate deal reviews and management decision meetings.
• Identify risks, delays and bottlenecks early, bringing the right people together to resolve them.
• Ensure transactions meet agreed governance requirements and quality standards, while improving processes across countries.
• Develop consistent, practical processes that support effective execution across countries.

You will work closely with a dedicated investment team responsible for financial analysis, valuation, investment cases and recommendations. Your focus will be on assessing strategic alignment and driving a well-coordinated transaction process from qualified opportunity to closing.

• Several years of relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Transaction Services, Deal Advisory or a comparable transaction environment.
• A strong understanding of the buy-side M&A lifecycle, together with sound financial and commercial judgement.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple transactions and competing priorities.
• Confidence working with senior management and entrepreneurial business leaders.
• A structured, pragmatic approach: you take ownership, challenge constructively and follow through.
• Excellent English and willingness to travel internationally. Additional European languages are an advantage.

We welcome candidates from both advisory firms and in-house transaction teams. Experience in professional services is valuable, but relevant deal experience from other sectors is equally welcome.
