Your expertise will support the transition from traditional on-premises systems to a modern, cloud-based data mesh architecture, incorporating a self-service analytics platform. This role demands a strategic vision to integrate various legal entities within Deutsche Börse into the data mesh, enabling them to contribute and leverage their analytics use cases effectively. Additionally, your data science expertise will be crucial, utilizing platforms such as GCP and Databricks to build new quantitative analytics products.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the "Data Mesh” stream in the transformation of Deutsche Börse's data infrastructure to a cloud-based data mesh.
  • Facilitate the integration of legal entities into the data mesh, and ensure their analytics use cases are supported and aligned with the overall data strategy.
  • Oversee the development of the self-service analytics platform, enabling users to access, analyze, and visualize data with autonomy.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards across the data mesh, ensuring the integration with the Enterprise Data Catalogue data integrity, governance, and compliance.
  • Drive synergetic alignment across legal entities' analytics initiatives, optimizing the collective use of the data mesh for enhanced decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful implementation of data science products and also provide clear updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Support cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development in data analytics practices.

Your profile

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, with a strong background in IT and leading data transformations.
  • You are experienced in cloud-based data platforms, particularly GCP and Databricks.
  • You have a proven ability to integrate and align multiple use cases within a complex data ecosystem.
  • You have a data science background, with the ability to apply quantitative analytics techniques to support business objectives.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • You have exceptional English communication skills, and are capable of managing diverse teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
