As Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) you will play a key role within the global Investment Management - Sustainability team.

This position forms part of PATRIZIA’s Investment Management Sustainability team, playing a key role in group-wide sustainability governance and serving as a regional sustainability subject matter expert for German fund managers and investors. You will work closely within a pan-European sustainability team and engage across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of PATRIZIA’s sustainability strategy.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a sustainability subject matter expert for German fund management teams, providing advisory support on fund strategy implementation.
• Support investor engagement on sustainability topics, including participation in meetings with German investors, responding to due diligence questionnaires, and other client requests.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Group sustainability strategy and target operating model, including related policies and processes.
• Support sustainability governance across the Group, including non-financial reporting and audit, target monitoring and sustainability risk controls.
• Monitor and interpret sustainability regulation relevant to real estate funds, and support its implementation, including German and EU requirements.
• Support ESG data collection methodologies and quality control.
• Perform portfolio- and fund-level analysis to support performance insight, monitoring, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
• Support the use and application of sustainability tools and frameworks.
• Contribute to bids and pitch presentations, and knowledge sharing across the organisation.

What We Look for:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sustainability / ESG within real estate investment management or a related advisory role.
• Self-starter with a proactive and adaptable mindset, able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Experience operating within an international, matrixed organisation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with fund management teams, central functions, and investors.
• Able to operate across asset-, fund-, and group-level sustainability topics.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Relevant university degree.
• Fluent in German and English.
