anfangs befristet für zwei Jahre (mit der Option auf Verlängerung) zu besetzen. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).

Aufgaben:

• Mitarbeit am Projekt ’Einflüsse von maternalen Übergewicht auf das Herz’ bzw. ’Auswirkung maternaler Stressoren auf das Herz’
• Analysen von maternalen / transgenerationalen Einflüssen auf das Herz der F1 und F2 Generationen, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die neurokardiale Interaktion
• Histologische Analysen
• Aufreinigung von Zellen (bspw. Neuronen) und Durchführung von ex vivo Experimenten
• Planung und Durchführung von Einzelzell- bzw. Einzelzellkern-RNA-Sequenzierungen und deren Analysen
• Aufbau und Weiterentwicklungen von Modellen zur Untersuchung von maternalen Einflüssen auf das Herz
• Testung neuer therapeutischer Ansatzpunkte in experimentellen Erkrankungsmodellen
• Veröffentlichung wissenschaftlicher Publikationen für Fachjournale
• Teilnahme an nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen und Mitarbeit in Forschungsnetzwerken
• Labormanagement; allgemeine organisatorische Aufgaben

Allgemeine und technische Anforderungen:

• abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Master oder vergleichbar) in Biochemie, Molekularer, Zell- oder Medizinischer Biologie oder Medizin
• sehr gute Kenntnisse in Physiologie
• Organisations- und Teamfähigkeit, Flexibilität, Aufgeschlossenheit, Kommunikationsfähigkeit
• bioinformatische Grundkenntnisse und Erfahrungen mit Einzelzellsequenzierungsanalysen
• FELASA-Zertifikat
• Histologievorkenntnisse
• immunologische Grundkenntnisse und Erfahrungen mit FACS-Analysen
• sehr gute Englischkenntnisse

is available as of June 1 ^st , 2026 . The position is initially limited to two years, with the possibility of extension.

Salary classification is based on the characteristics defined in the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University Frankfurt.

Tasks:

• participation in the project ’Influence of maternal overweight on the heart’ and/or ’Impact of maternal stressors on the heart’
• analysis of maternal and transgenerational effects on the hearts of F1 and F2 generations, with a particular focus on neurocardiac interactions
• histological analyses
• isolation of specific cell populations (e. g. neurons) and performance of ex vivo experiments
• planning, execution, and analysis of single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing experiments
• establishment and further development of models to investigate maternal influences on the heart
• evaluation of novel therapeutic targets in experimental disease models
• preparation and publication of scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
• participation in national and international conferences and contribution to research networks
• laboratory management and general organizational tasks

General and technical requirements:

• completed university degree (Master’s or similar) in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular or Medical Biology, or Medicine
• very good knowledge of physiology
• strong organizational and teamwork skills, flexibility, openness, and good communication abilities
• basic bioinformatics skills and experience with single cell sequencing data analysis
• FELASA certificate
• prior experience in histology
• basic immunological knowledge and experience with FACS analyses.
• excellent command of English
