YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As a Senior Director (f/m/d), GTM Strategy to Execution, you will shape SAP’s global Go‑To‑Market (GTM) strategy by translating strategic priorities into practical, high‑impact execution. You will drive the design of a cohesive operating model that integrates strategy development, transformation execution, and cross‑functional alignment. Your work will directly influence SAP’s commercial performance, operational efficiency, and long‑term growth.

You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing analytical depth, strategic guidance, and recommendations that steer SAP’s GTM operating model. Your contributions will support end‑to‑end strategy definition, transformation initiatives, and performance improvement across regions, functions, and business units.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy Development & Thought Leadership

  • Own the design and continuous evolution of SAP's GTM strategies aligned with overarching business goals and long-term growth ambitions.
  • Lead in depth qualitative and quantitative analyses to uncover insights that inform executive decision-making.
  • Provide strategic perspectives on market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry best practices.
  • Lead con c urrent Executive Board-level strategic initiatives end-to-end as senior project lead, including developing and delivering C-suit presentations.

Operating Model & Continuous Improvement

  • Help refine SAP's GTM operating model by linking strategy definition with execution excellence.
  • Drive clarity across GTM functions by improving collaboration mechanisms, governance structures, and execution processes.
  • Own capability building efforts, organizational design improvements, and role clarity across GTM teams.

Transformation & Program Execution

  • Lead and support to the execution of large scale GTM transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and leadership expectations.
  • Partner with cross functional teams across GTM, Finance, HR, Operations, and Product to enable coordinated program delivery.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Solid experience in top ‑ tier management consulting, corporate strategy, GTM strategy, or business consulting within SaaS or enterprise technology.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of GTM motions, commercial models, sales processes, and SaaS operating principles.
  • Experience in leading cross ‑ functional initiatives in matrixed, global environments.
  • Executive presence with excellent communication, storylining, and decision ‑ framing abilities.
  • A collaborative, customer ‑ centric mindset with resilience, adaptability, and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or related field; MBA or PhD preferred.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

The GTM Strategy to Execution team is part of SAP’s Global GTM Strategy & Transformation organization and plays a pivotal role in shaping SAP’s future commercial engine. Our vision is to define SAP’s GTM strategy along the Customer Value Journey, enabling revenue growth, quality, and efficiency, and driving SAP’s transformation toward a market‑leading GTM operating model.

We partner closely with Board Areas, regional leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive GTM strategy definition, execution planning, and the orchestration of high‑impact strategic programs. Our work ensures alignment with corporate strategy, supports portfolio prioritization, and enables measurable value realization across SAP’s global GTM ecosystem.
