  • Ensure the implementation of quality requirements and standards across all relevant processes.
  • Maintain and further develop the Quality Management System (QMS) and its associated documentation.
  • Plan, conduct, and support internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and certification audits.
  • Conduct risk assessments focusing on quality and product safety, and define and monitor appropriate measures.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to sustainably improve product and process quality.
  • Develop and continuously improve specifications, inspection plans, and testing procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support Procurement and Supply Chain Management in quality-related supplier matters, including audits, technical discussions, complaint management, and specification development.
  • Monitor relevant quality KPIs and prepare and present quality reports.
  • Advise and support relevant departments on all quality-related matters.
  • Promote a sustainable quality culture through training, coaching, and awareness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with and implementation of relevant standards, regulations, and legal requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, BRC, product safety, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety).
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as Division Management, to optimize quality standards and process controls.
  • Represent quality interests in cross-site and divisional projects and contribute to the harmonization of best practices and standard processes.
  • Maintain constructive cooperation with the Works Council and support the Training Department on quality-related matters.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide both functional and disciplinary leadership to the Site Quality team and support its professional development.
  • Foster a performance-driven, appreciative, and quality-oriented team culture.
  • Develop, motivate, and coach team members to continuously enhance their technical and methodological competencies.
  • Set objectives, manage, and prioritize quality-related activities to achieve company goals.

Professional Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in a technical field, preferably in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Alternatively, completed technical vocational training followed by further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Certified Technician, combined with relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management, ideally in the plastics processing industry or a manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of quality management and relevant methods, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with quality management systems and commonly applied standards, including BRC, ISO, Polaris, etc.
  • Good business and commercial understanding.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP and production data acquisition systems (BDE).
  • Very good command of both German and English.

Personal Competencies

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • High level of initiative and a systematic, methodical working style.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and professional interaction with employees, managers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Assertiveness combined with a collaborative mindset and empathy.
  • Strong commitment to quality, with a pronounced customer- and service-oriented approach.
