For one of our clients, a fast-growing commodity trading company, we are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their team in Geneva. In this highly visible role, you will be the financial backbone of the business, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance across all accounting processes.

Your mission:

• Leading end-to-end accounting processes, including full bookkeeping and general ledger management
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements and management figures, providing key insights to senior management
• Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, overseeing financial and tax audits
• Driving profit and loss analysis and supporting management decision-making with clear, actionable reporting
• Coordinating and contributing to special accounting projects, including process improvements and system enhancements
• Maintaining strong documentation of data flows, contracts, and compliance records
  
  

Your profile:

• At least 7 years of experience in accounting within a commodity trading company
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, Chartered Accountant) is a strong plus
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS and international accounting practices
• Fluent in English and French both written and spoken
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership in a fast-paced trading environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build trusted relationships with auditors, banks, and stakeholders
