For one of our clients, a leading international trading company, we are seeking a Grains Operator to strengthen their Paris team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional to take ownership of complex grain trading activities and contribute to the smooth execution of international contracts. The role requires strong expertise in operational risk management, contract execution, and stakeholder coordination across the full supply chain.

Your mission:

• Lead and oversee shipment execution in close coordination with charterers, shipping companies, and inspection agencies
• Secure and manage payment processes, including credit insurance, letters of credit, and complex financing structures
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with payment terms, GAFTA rules, quality standards, and legal requirements
• Supervise the full execution cycle (purchase, sale, transport, storage), while ensuring accurate reporting, system updates, and stock monitoring in port silos
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory, banking, and insurance documentation
• Oversee contract, invoice, and provision data entry, monitor costs, and manage export documentation and bond requirements
• Act as a key counterpart for banks, insurers, and external service providers, while supporting and advising traders in daily operations

Your profile:

• Degree in International Trade, Logistics, or related field
• At least 5–7 years of proven experience in grains trading operations
• Strong knowledge of GAFTA contracts and international trade finance instruments
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are an asset
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to anticipate issues and drive efficient solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, comfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholders at senior level
