For one of our clients, an international soft commodity trading company based in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, we are currently recruiting a Trade Finance Officer. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious individual with 3 to 5 years of experience in trade finance, looking to take on new challenges and grow within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Your mission:

• Manage and administer trade finance/ structured finance operations, including the negotiation and follow-up of Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, bank guarantees, and other instruments
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, negotiate credit lines, and ensure their proper utilization
• Act as the key point of contact with credit insurance providers; follow up on guarantees and manage risk exposure
• Support the treasury function and contribute to structured trade finance activities
• Monitor banking positions, interests, and charges; ensure timely execution of payments
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, Accounting, Management) to ensure transaction accuracy and compliance
• Produce financial reporting and analysis as required
• Report directly to the CEO and be involved in strategic financial decisions

Your profile:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in trade finance within a trading company
• Solid understanding of trade finance instruments and treasury operations; exposure to structured finance is a must
• Experience with agricultural or soft commodities is a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly in managing banking relationships
• Fluency in French and English is required; Portuguese is an advantage
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take initiative in a demanding and fast-moving environment
