Summary

Chaberton Professionals is currently supporting a high-growth Italian scale-up in the search for a Country Manager - Germany. Our client is a recognized B2B technology company with a strong international team and a rapidly expanding market presence. To lead the market entry and scale the business in Germany, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, autonomous, and high-potential leader. This is a pivotal role at a defining moment in the company’s international expansion journey.

Job description

The Role

The selected candidate will have full responsibility for launching and developing the German market, with end-to-end ownership of the go-to-market strategy.

In particular, the role will involve:

  • Leading all commercial activities: prospecting, pipeline development, client acquisition, and closing mid-market and enterprise deals.
  • Building and nurturing senior-level relationships with key stakeholders across the legal, compliance, and financial sectors.
  • Adapting the value proposition to the local market, taking into account customer needs and the German regulatory framework.
  • Collaborating with the international team to localize pricing, sales materials, and marketing messaging.
  • Identifying, recruiting, and onboarding the first local hires and strategic partners to accelerate growth.
  • Representing the company at industry events, panels, and client meetings, positioning it as a reference player in its space.
  • Collecting market insights and customer feedback to support product evolution and roadmap development.

This is a builder role , with direct impact on the company’s international scale-up trajectory.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or go-to-market roles, ideally within SaaS or technology environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate autonomously.
  • Solid understanding of legal or regulatory environments; a legal background is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience in taking a product from "zero to one” in a new market is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in German and English, Italian is a plus.
  • High adaptability, resilience, and a strong problem-solving orientation.
