About the Role: ATMOS Space Cargo is seeking an experienced Lead AIT Engineer to oversee and manage the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities for our Phoenix Capsule series. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring the spacecraft is assembled, integrated, and tested according to mission requirements.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the AIT team in developing, implementing, and executing assembly and testing procedures.• Define and oversee the setup of integration facilities.• Lead spacecraft integration activities, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications.• Manage test campaigns, including vibration, thermal, and functional testing.• Ensure adherence to ECSS/NASA testing standards and quality assurance procedures.• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Basic Qualifications & Requirements:• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.• 5+ years of experience in spacecraft AIT processes.• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and coordinating large-scale testing campaigns.• Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and space-grade hardware handling.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with spacecraft environmental testing and launch vehicle integration.• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.• Relevant training and/or appropriate hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic tools and materials.• High aptitude and focus for quality control.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Proficient user in the English language (additional knowledge of German or French is an asset).Why Join Us?• Be part of an innovative and rapidly growing space startup revolutionizing microgravity research.• Work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and international team.• Enjoy competitive salary, stock options, and career growth opportunities.• Contribute to meaningful projects that advance science and technology in space.Join ATMOS Space Cargo and help shape the future of space transportation!
