We are looking for a strategic and people-oriented Head of / Senior Director Platform Capabilities Management to lead and evolve the cross-functional product teams that manage our core capabilities platform. This role is central to how Sunrise delivers shared digital platform capabilities across the organization. It combines deep product management craft, portfolio and KPI steering, and strong stakeholder collaboration to translate real user needs into platform capabilities that scale across multiple customer journeys.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a team of product/capability managers focused on core capabilities, frameworks, and platform enablers
- Coach team members in stakeholder interaction, problem discovery, and product ownership best practices
- Build a high-performing team culture that combines delivery discipline with continuous improvement and learning
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Translation
- Proactively engage with internal business and journey owners to observe, challenge and ideate on existing processes and tools
- Translate business needs into actionable platform capability requirements in close collaboration with IT and architecture teams
- Act as a thought partner for senior stakeholders – not just taking requirements, but shaping them
Portfolio Management & Strategic Steering
- Establish a structured portfolio management practice: track initiatives, roadmap items, delivery plans and measurable business impact
- Use tools like Jira, Airfocus, and Confluence to maintain transparency of progress and priorities across teams and stakeholders
- Support company-wide planning by linking platform initiatives to Sunrise OKRs, ensuring clear line-of-sight from work to business outcomes
Executive Representation & Roadmap Visibility
- Present the status, challenges, and opportunities of the platform capability portfolio to senior leadership
- Enable senior management to understand where and how they can influence priorities and accelerate business outcomes through platform strategy
- Foster alignment between product teams and strategic company goals, improving cross-functional impact and delivery
YOUR SKILLS:
- 10+ years’ experience in product management or digital platform leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior or team leadership role
- Track record of working in or with modern, digitally mature organisations, ideally in telecom, technology, or enterprise SaaS
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex stakeholder needs into structured product roadmaps and scalable platform solutions
- Experience establishing and managing product and portfolio management processes, including KPI linkage and roadmap governance
- Deep knowledge of tools such as Jira, Airfocus, Confluence, and Miro or equivalent product collaboration platforms
- Strong people leadership and coaching capabilities – you enjoy growing talent and setting high standards
- Analytical, structured and pragmatic mindset with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Fluent in English (C1+); German a plus
