Responsibilities
Research:
- Basic research in the field of synthetic carbohydrate chemistry and glycobiochemistry
- The candidate should be willing to prepare her/his PhD work
Teaching:
- The candidate must be willing to help in co-supervision of the students within the curricula Chemistry, Technical Chemistry, Bio refinery Engineering
- The candidate must be willing to take courses for the personal development
Admission Requirements
Master or Diploma study in the field of Chemistry or Technical Chemistry
Desired Qualification
- Excellent knowledge in synthesis of carbohydrate-based biobased systems
- Excellent knowledge of enzymology and activity-based "protein profiling" (enzyme kinetic, SDS-Page, mass spectrometry, proteomics) with respect to carbohydrate processing enzymes
- Knowledge of appropriate analytical methods for the characterisation of glycoconjugates (NMR, MS, IR, elemental analysis, polarimeter)
- Very good knowledge of English, Social competence and ability to work in a team
- High motivation and commitment in the field of scientific work and teaching
- Interest in research in chemistry and technology of biobased systems and in working with students

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
