Your tasks

• Active work in the research area and the further development of content in the work and research priorities of the institute
• Data management (storage of data sets, data cleansing, preparation and evaluation of data sets)
• Statistical planning and preparation of studies in collaboration with the study leaders
• Further development of methods and projects in the field of sensor technology and artificial intelligence in the context of nursing science issues
• Statistical analysis of data sets using SPSS, STATA, SAS or R
• Collaboration in writing project proposals and acquiring third-party funding
• Collaboration in and participation in research projects / scientific studies
• Contribution to publications in national and international journals
• Participation in teaching according to the requirements of the LVVO-MV
• Opportunity for scientific qualification (doctorate/habilitation)

Our requirements

• Completed studies in biometrics, statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, data science or a related field (at least a Master's degree)
• Ability to manage data efficiently (including data storage and retrieval), clean, process and analyze complex data sets
• Very good knowledge of statistical methods for the statistical analysis of research data (primary data, secondary data, routine data, AI data)
• Experience with programming languages ​​such as Python and R or others,
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI; understanding and practical experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and artificial intelligence methods
• Experience in the statistical planning and evaluation of clinical trials, ideally demonstrated by relevant publications
• Very good knowledge of statistical programs (SPSS, R, STATA, SAS desirable), experience with data visualization
• MS Office knowledge, especially Word, Outlook and Excel
• High interest in scientific work in nursing science
• Independent, careful, systematic and reliable work and good problem-solving skills
• Interest in working in interdisciplinary teams and very good communication skills; strong social skills, teamwork skills and ability to integrate
• Very good written and spoken English skills
