Director, Business Segment Manager (m/f/d)

What tasks can you expect from us?

As Director, Business Segment Manager (m/f/d), you carry strategic responsibility for our site in Hadamar-Steinbach. You manage commercial and technical topics with entrepreneurial foresight and actively shape the future of Motec with your leadership experience and innovative strength. In doing so, you combine operational excellence with a clear understanding of market requirements and sustainable business development.

• Strategic leadership of the Hadamar-Steinbach site and development of growth strategies in alignment with corporate objectives
• Supporting executive management in building a diverse and high-performing organization. Talent management, development, and retention of employees within the Motec organization (and beyond)
• Direct responsibility for Business Development, Product Management, and R&D teams while overseeing day-to-day operations and all business areas to ensure operational excellence
• Accountability for profit and loss (P&L), budget planning, and strategic resource and talent development
• Driving technological innovation and digital transformation initiatives
• Representing the company to customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders
• Strategic planning of budgets, resources, and talent development
• Leading M&A activities to strengthen market position and support expansion
• Ensuring compliance with ESG standards and corporate governance policies
• Acting with fiduciary responsibility and transparency in all business decisions

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus
• Several years of experience in a senior leadership role with both commercial and technical responsibilities – ideally within the automotive or industrial technology sector - also p roven track record of P&L and budget ownership
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams with i nnovative mindset and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams
• Deep expertise in market expansion, operational efficiency, and strategic execution
• Experience in M&A and post-merger integration is an advantage
• Strong understanding of ESG principles and corporate governance in a German business context
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
