What you will do

As part of our Smart Manufacturing organization, you will play a key role in enabling the reliable execution and scaling of customer projects. You will ensure that customer-specific automation solutions are technically validated, production-ready, and successfully implemented from initial sales discussions through to customer rollout.

By combining automation engineering, robot programming, process validation, and customer project execution, you will help transform customer opportunities into scalable solutions while driving the standardization of successful use cases across projects.

Your tasks include:

  • Validate customer-specific automation applications based on CAD data and application requirements to assess technical feasibility and support sales discussions.

  • Prepare and support automation solutions from technical concept through system ramp-up and production start at customer sites.
  • Coordinate and support customer-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and process optimization to ensure successful project execution.
  • Work closely with customers, Sales, Engineering, and external technology partners to translate application requirements into robust automation solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to standardize successful automation use cases, processes, and solutions to accelerate deployment and scaling across customers.
  • Capture project learnings and continuously improve automation processes, solutions, and implementation approaches.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and integration of relevant automation and robotics technologies for the further development of tesa 's TaaS offering.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders and act as a technical point of contact throughout the implementation phase.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites, partner facilities, and internal locations as required.

What you will need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, robotics, or a comparable technical field, or a certified technician qualification with relevant practical experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in industrial automation, robotics, robot programming, application engineering, or a related technical environment.
  • Practical experience in programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic or automated systems.
  • Ability to interpret CAD data and translate customer-specific requirements into technically feasible automation solutions.
  • Experience in taking technical solutions from development through implementation and production ramp-up.
  • Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • A customer-oriented mindset combined with a hands-on and pragmatic "get things done" mentality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to different stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and project locations.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
