Deine Aufgaben
- Gather and synthesize information from external requestors and experts, Olympus leadership, and MSA colleagues to devise regional implementation of global Grants priorities. Develop and maintain knowledge of educational needs across EMEA region and establish annual regional execution plan to support HQ and subregional Grants activities.
- Serve as the internal and external ambassador and ultimate information resource for EMEA Grants initiatives, processes, and decisions. Direct compliant marketing and information sharing of Grants priorities and programs to attract high quality, competitive submissions and maximize educational and patient-benefitting impact.
- In collaboration with Medical and Scientific Affairs (MSA); Legal; Governance, Risk, and Compliance; Internal Audit; Finance; and other relevant stakeholders, construct and implement policies and procedures to ensure EMEA Grants activities and processes adhere to the standards of the Olympus Global Rules and Procedures for Grants, EMEA Rules on Operation of the Grants Committee, Olympus Business Code of Conduct, and global industry best practices.
- Manage the application, screening, and due diligence processes to prepare information and reports for review by the EMEA Grants Committee and its sub-Committees (if applicable). Oversee Grants Team’s timely and compliant engagement with external requestors to inform applicants of program and Committee standards and provide instructions to remedy application deficiencies. Supervise contract execution and payment generation for approved programs.
- Direct the timely and efficient distribution of information to Olympus personnel responsible for devising product configurations and logistics and those responsible for program suitability evaluations. Evaluate and respond to gaps, challenges, and escalation of issues that could compromise the Grants Committee’s ability to fairly evaluate or support worthy programs.
- Support global and regional budgeting and forecasting efforts including projections for in-kind product expenses. Review Finance reports regularly to validate Grants spend.
- Design and implement systems and procedures for robust post-program reconciliation reporting from grant recipients. Exercise discretion delegated by the EMEA Grants Committee to escalate findings appropriately.
- Manage grants data to ensure timely, reliable reporting as required by global Grants management and the EMEA Grants Committee, as well as EMEA departments including Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Legal, Finance, Transparency Reporting, and Internal Audit.
Deine Qualifikationen
- Graduate degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification acceptable if no graduate degree
- Minimum 10 years’ experience managing grants for independent medical education, corporate social responsibility, or similar corporate philanthropy
- Experience working in complex, matrixed global organizations
- Medical device industry experience preferred
- Ability to understand strategy and align tactics to that strategy is required
- Global mindset and demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strategic alignment across countries or regions and working with groups with varied cultural backgrounds and learning styles is required.
- Advanced understanding of fraud and abuse, anti-kickback, transparency reporting, and other healthcare rules and regulations applicable to medical device companies is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead through influence are required
- Knowledge of statistical methods and ability to effectively organize and present data are required
- Demonstrated project management skills with multi-tasking abilities are required
- Knowledge of Olympus products, asset management practices, and logistics associated with the same is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and command of English, both written and spoken is required
- Ability to accommodate meetings times available to global participants
