Your responsibilities

Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Investigation of bent correlated electronic systems at room temperature to determine their crystal structure under strain gradients, and at low temperature to study electronic correlations induced by strain gradients.

Carry out experiments of x-ray diffraction on micro-structured samples at user facilities. Implement static and dynamic bending techniques at selected beam line end stations.

Your profile

A university degree in a relevant field.

  • A PhD in a relevant field or a strong record in scientific work equivalent to a PhD degree,
  • experience in handling of microstructures and ESD sensitive samples,
  • alignment of micron sized samples for XRD measurements,
  • strong competency in visualizing multi-dimensional XRD data, especially with focus on strain gradients.
