Your responsibilities

Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

• preparation of research papers and reports for the DFG project "Effects of vertical integration on healthcare expenditure, patient outcomes and competition between providers"
• independent research in the field of empirical industrial organization
• participation in the research program of the Department and the HCHE: presenting at seminars, hosting visiting researchers, mentoring junior members of the team

Your profile

A university degree in a relevant field plus doctorate.

• research experience in the field of empirical industrial economics, with a particular emphasis on structural demand estimation using big data
• documented expertise with conducting empirical quantitative research, including publications in highly ranked journals in industrial economics and/or econometrics
• documented ability to conduct independent research
• experience in implementing high-dimensional demand estimation procedures with statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, Matlab or Python)
