Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
Work in the academy project "Tamilex”: Corpus construction and indexing Pattuppāṭṭu: critical edition and annotated translation of Mullaippāṭṭu, Neṭunalvāṭai and Perum-pāṇāṟṟuppaṭai, segmentation and lexicographical indexing of Nacciṉārkkiṉiyar's commentary
Your profile
A university degree in a relevant field. A degree in Indology (or a comparable field), doctorate desirable.
- excellent knowledge of the lexicographical traditions of the subcontinent
- experience in working with palm leaf manuscripts
- methods of manuscript research
- excellent knowledge of classical Tamil and its commentary tradition as well as the Caṅkam tradition
- excellent command of English, written and spoken
