Your responsibilities
What if you could drive financial transparency, consistency, and insight across EMEA? As a (Senior) Controller (f/m/x) EMEA, you will play a central role in steering regional financial performance and providing high-quality financial analysis and insights that inform strategic decision-making at both EMEA Management and Group Headquarters in Japan. As part of a collaborative finance team, you will contribute to harmonizing processes, improving reporting standards, and enabling data-driven decisions across multiple countries. Your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating, consolidating, and analyzing EMEA-wide financial results (Actuals, Forecast, Budget)
- Preparing management-ready financial reports and commenting on P&L developments, key drivers, deviations, and trends
- Ensuring consistency, transparency, and data quality across regional financial reporting
- Coordinating the EMEA planning, forecasting, and budgeting process in close alignment with affiliates
- Challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights to management and HQ
- Conducting deep-dive analyses on financial performance, cost structures, and business drivers
- Preparing scenario analyses and ad‑hoc evaluations to support strategic decisions
- Acting as a finance interface between EMEA HQ and local affiliates, supporting and challenging local finance teams on reporting logic, KPIs, and methodologies
- Collaborating closely with Controlling, Accounting, Business Finance, and other functions across the region
- Driving further development of EMEA reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and contributing to finance digitalization, automation, and standardization initiatives
- Contributing to strategic initiatives and gaining high visibility with senior management and Corporate HQ, with the opportunity to shape regional finance transparency and standards
Your profile
You are a strong match for this role if you bring solid finance experience, a strategic mindset, and a passion for driving performance across regions. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- Degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience (typically 5+ years) in controlling, financial analysis, or reporting
- Proven experience in an international or regional (EMEA) environment, ideally within a group structure
- Strong understanding of P&L logic, planning, forecasting, and performance management
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to structure complex financial topics
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Power BI and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- High level of ownership, independence, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to senior and non-finance stakeholders
- Confident working across cultures and organizational levels
- Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage but not required
