Job Description

The Impact You'll Make

At Danfoss Climate Solutions, we develop innovative technologies that improve energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. As our new Simulation Specialist (m/f/d), you will accelerate product development through advanced simulation and virtual testing, helping engineering teams make better decisions earlier in the design process.

By combining simulation expertise with a strong understanding of product performance, you will reduce development risk, improve product quality, and contribute to innovative solutions that deliver value for our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan, execute, and document finite element analyses covering structural, vibration, fatigue, thermal, and multiphysics challenges.
  • Translate product requirements and potential failure risks into simulation models, assumptions, load cases, and verification strategies.
  • Partner with mechanical, mechatronics, electronics, testing, and product development teams to support data-driven design decisions.
  • Correlate simulation results with physical testing and field data, providing clear recommendations and communicating limitations and uncertainties.
  • Analyze results, identify design risks, evaluate optimization opportunities, and recommend practical product improvements.
  • Improve simulation methodologies, automation capabilities, quality standards, and knowledge sharing across the engineering community.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of industrial experience applying finite element analysis (FEA) to product development and design verification challenges.
  • Strong expertise in solid mechanics, materials behavior, meshing, contacts, linear and nonlinear analysis, dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and thermal simulations.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial simulation tools such as Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, COMSOL, or comparable platforms, including model validation and result interpretation.
  • Programming or scripting experience, preferably in Python, to automate simulation workflows and improve engineering efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly, collaborate across functions, and build trusted relationships with engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience with CFD, mechatronic systems, PCB/PCBA simulation, or electromagnetic analysis is an advantage.
  • A collaborative, curious, and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

What You'll Get from Us

  1. We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  2. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  3. We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  4. You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
